🎯 Cambridge Speaking Challenge

We are excited to launch the Daram-G Elementary Cambridge Speaking Challenge an engaging, interview-style speaking event inspired by authentic Cambridge English tasks! This challenge replaces the old “memorized speech” contest and instead focuses on real-life English communication skills.

🗣 About the Challenge

Students will participate according to their level Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Each student chooses one Cambridge-style picture from three options provided for their level. They will then answer five teacher questions and speak for about five minutes describing and discussing the picture using natural, everyday English. During the session, teachers will assess students in real time using Cambridge-aligned rubrics.

📊 Assessment Criteria

The evaluation follows Cambridge English standards, focusing on four key areas:

• Grammar & Vocabulary: Control of simple grammar and use of appropriate words for everyday topics

• Pronunciation: Clear, understandable speech with correct stress and rhythm

• Interactive Communication: Ability to maintain short exchanges and respond appropriately

• Overall Impression (Global Achievement): General fluency, confidence, and communication effectiveness

After the challenge, every participant will receive personalized feedback highlighting strengths and areas for growth.
